Public Invited to Information Meeting Wednesday on Highway 23 Improvements West of FDL

The public is invited to an informational meeting
tomorrow night to learn more about road work that’s scheduled to begin next
month on Highway 23 west of Fond du Lac. The Wisconsin Department of
Transportation says Improvements will be made to the highway between Townline
Road in the Town of Lamartine to Rolling Meadows Drive in Fond du Lac, DOT
Project Manager Bryan Learst tells us the project includes “Resurfacing and some
concrete pavement joint repair, and we’re also doing a highway safety improvement
project at the intersection of Highway 23 and Rolling Meadows Drive.” He says “we’ll
be replacing some of the existing signals, and we’ll also be adding slotted
left turn lanes to help improve the safety of highway 23 at that intersection.”
The meeting is Wednesday from 5 until 7 pm at the Fond du Lac County Airport.
DOT staff will be on hand to provide information about the project, discuss
traffic impacts and provide access information for properties in the work zone.
