Public Safety Software Upgrade Set To Roll Out This Fall In FDL County

Fond du Lac County Officials continue to work on the implementation of a public safety software upgrade. Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel explains that the upgrade is essential to keep dispatch and records management services operational across the county.

“Every department is part of the software system, so we’re upgrading the main platform and upgrading everyone else’s platforms as well. We also have the jail, the MDC’s (multi-data computers) in the squad cars. All of those are upgraded as part of the software upgrade.”

Buechel says the year-and-a-half process to purchase and install the upgrade costs about two-point-four million dollars. The updates are set to go live this fall.
