Questions Raised In Waukesha Parade Donations
A local reporter’s investigation is raising questions about where all of the money donated for Waukesha Christmas Parade attack victims is going.
Fox-Six News in Milwaukee reports some of the five-point-seven million-dollars raised for parade victims could go to local non-profits instead.
Anita Busch with the group Victims First says people hurt in the attack should get 100-percent of the money. The local United Way, which is seeking some of the money, has a person on the board who will help decide where donations are sent.
Busch says that’s a conflict of interest.
The United for Waukesha Community Fund is accepting applications for the money until Monday. Then it will send checks in about two weeks.
