Racoon Causes Three Car Accident

It all started with a driver of one vehicle stopping to avoid hitting a racoon in the road. It ended with two cars being towed from the scene. The incident occurred Saturday evening just past 7:10 p.m., near E. Pioneer Rd. and Mihill Avenue in Fond du Lac. According to police logs, a vehicle being operated by a 24-year old male, had stopped in the road to avoid hitting a racoon trying to cross in front of him. A 19-year old female failed to see the vehicle stopped in the road, and rear-ended the vehicle. Another vehicle approaching the scene failed to stop in time, and rear-ended the second vehicle. The 19-year old female was cited for inattentive driving. There were no injuries reported, but two of the vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
