Radon Test Kits Available at County Health Department

January is National Radon Action Month – and the Fond du
Lac County Health Department is encouraging residents to test their home at
least once for the presence of Radon gas. Radon is an invisible, odorless gas
that can enter the home through cracks in the foundation, openings around joints
and pipes and dirty floors. Exposure to high levels of the gas is a risk for lung
cancer. Radon test kits are available at the health department offices for a
reduced cost of five dollars through January 31^st, or until the
