Rae Nell Halbur To Be Honored At National FFA Convention

Radio personality, Rae Nell Halbur will be honored at the 87th National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY in late October. She is one of five recipients from Wisconsin who will be awarded the Honorary American FFA Degree in the non-ag teacher category. An Honorary American FFA Degree is presented to individuals who have provided exceptional service to agriculture, agricultural education, or FFA.

Halbur is a freelance broadcaster at Mountain Dog Media and currently hosts 4-H/FFA on the Air on Saturday mornings sponsored by Country Visions Coop. She also assists with radio coverage of the Fond du Lac County Fair, FDL Area Ag Showcase and others.

Halbur states, “I benefit the most from spending time with the wonderful youth who participate in the FFA program and I don’t understand why more media does not engage with these exciting young leaders.”

Halbur and her husband own and operate Burledge Holsteins in Fond du Lac. She has served as a 4-H Leader for almost 40 years and covered the local FFA Chapters for almost 15 years.
