Randolph Man Sentenced for Seventh OWI

A Randolph man will spend the next seven years behind bars for his seventh drunken driving offense. 53-year old Gerald Miller was also sentenced to five years on extended supervision after pleading guilty to one felony count of Operating While Intoxicated. Several other charges were dismissed.

A Dodge County deputy was responding to a domestic incident back in February when he noticed the Miller parked on the side of the road. He was identified as the suspect in that case and the deputy noticed a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech. Miller refused a breath test, but a search warrant was issued for a blood draw. He has OWI offenses dating back to 1989.
