Red Arrow Battalion Returns To Wisconsin

The long
wait is just about over for the families and friends of almost 200 Wisconsin
Army National Guard soldiers. State elected officials and senior Wisconsin
National Guard leaders will join families and friends to welcome home the “Red
Arrow” Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry at a 2 p.m. ceremony Tuesday,
Dec. 5 at Volk Field in Camp Douglas,
Wisconsin
The
Soldiers represent the last of 400 total Soldiers from the battalion that
deployed to
Afghanistan.
They landed back at
Fort Bliss, Texas
Nov. 23, where they have been completing demobilization requirements in advance
of returning to
WisconsinThe
Appleton-headquartered unit, has subordinate units in Clintonville, Ripon,
Waupun,
Green Bay, Fond du
Lac
, and Marinette and are returning home to Wisconsin
after a yearlong mobilization to
Afghanistan.
