FDL PD Investigates Shots Fired In Fond du Lac

City of Fond du Lac PD and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene early Saturday morning for reports of shots fired in Fond du Lac.

KFIZ’s Breaking News Editor, Doug Raflik, reported that several witnesses called County Dispatch shortly before 2:30 a.m., saying they heard upwards of 6 shots fired near Hickory and Division St.

Captain Anthony Hahn of the Fond du Lac Police Department said Officers were called to the area of N. Main St. and E. Merrill Ave. for a
report of possible guns shots at 2:18 a.m.

As Officers arrived in the area, they located a number of pieces of evidence indicating a possible shooting occurred. There was also evidence located that someone may have been injured. No injured person(s) remained on scene when police arrived.

The sidewalk and roadway were closed for a period of time to facilitate evidence collection. The investigation into the shooting incident remains active and anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Detective Henning at (920) 322-3725.
