Restraining Order Halts Placement Of Sex Offender In Town Of Eldorado

Fond du Lac County Judge Richard Nuss signed a temporary restraining order Wednesday afternoon to block the placement of violent sex offender Terry L. Olson at a residence in the Town of Eldorado. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Mick Fink along with County Executive Al Buechel and County Corporation Counsel Meggin McNamara petitioned the judge Wednesday. Sheriff Fink says they believe it is in the best interests of citizens in the county to prevent the Department of Health Services from placing Olson at a residence at N8578 Nitschke Road. Fink says that Washington County Judge Andrew Gonring has chosen not to hear the Town of Eldorado ‘s motion for a temporary restraining order, leaving no other option but to petition a Fond du Lac County Judge. Gonring will hear the Town of Eldorado’s Motion to Reconsider this afternoon at 2:15.
