Right To Work Bill Passes In Senate On To The Assembly

The state Senate has passed right-to-work legislation. Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has called right-to-work “a game changer.”  He says there will be no more important job bill in the Senate over the next two years than the Right to Work Bill. The Senate passed the bill on a 17 to 15 vote. State Senator Rick Gudex who voted for the bill says Wisconsin’s bill is simple and centered upon worker freedom. The state lawmaker from Fond du Lac says it simply gives workers a choice to decide for themselves whether or not to join a union. Democrats argue it will harm workers and drive down wages. The bill which has been the subject of protests this week now goes to the Assembly.
