Ripon Man Charged For Firing Gun Off In Street

Bond was set at $1,000 cash for a 28-year-old Ripon man suspected of shooting off a rifle in a Ripon Street. Lewis Sanchez made his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court Friday morning. He is charged with 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and operating a firearm while intoxicated. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday. No one was hurt during the incident in the 100 block of Thorne Street. Sanchez allegedly fired off three rounds in the area near Horicon Bank.
