Ripon Man Convicted In Two Separate Drug Incidents

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric J. Toney announced Wednesday that David S. Bresser pled no contest and was convicted of First Degree Reckless Homicide related to an April 4, 2020 overdose death that occurred in the City of Fond du Lac.

The 27-year old Bresser, of Ripon, also pled no contest and was convicted of Manufacture/Delivery of Fentanyl related to an August 6, 2020 incident in the City of Ripon.

The court revoked bond, ordered a pre-sentence investigation, and scheduled a sentencing hearing for August 17, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. Bresser faces up to 35 years of initial prison confinement and 20 years of extended supervision. Bresser has prior convictions for Burglary, Felony Bail Jumping, and Domestic Abuse.

District Attorney Toney stated: “Methamphetamine and fentanyl are ravaging families and communities across Wisconsin because drug dealing knows no boundaries. These convictions will help keep our community safer with one less drug dealer on our streets. Despite this, there will be a lifetime of grief for the family and friends of the victim because these convictions will not bring him back.”

The cases were investigated by the Fond du Lac Police Department and Ripon Police Department with assistance by the MEG Drug Unit.
