Ripon Woman Dies After Mecan River Accident
One woman is dead after a
kayaking accident on the
Sheriff’s Deputies were called out Saturday just before 3:30 p.m. for reports
of a female who was not breathing. When deputies arrived, CPR was already being
administered on 57-year old Tammi McCauley of Ripon. McCauley was pronounced
dead at the scene. McCauley had been kayaking on the river with her sister at
the time. No foul play is suspected but the incident is still under
investigation.
