Ripon Woman Killed In FDL County Accident

Name of those involved in a fatal three-vehicle accident east of Ripon Wednesday afternoon have been released by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department. Sixty-three-year-old Linda Trotter of Ripon died at the scene of the accident on Highway 23 at Willow Road. Twenty-five-year-old Heather Cleveland of Fond du Lac suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was flown to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. She is in serious condition. Thirty-three-year-old Waylon Zrinsky of Ripon was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

A 63-year-old Ripon woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash east of Ripon Wednesday afternoon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say a 33-year-old Ripon man was heading west on Highway 23 and was stopped to turn left onto Willow Road. The truck was rear-ended by a westbound SUV driven by a 25-year-old Fond du Lac woman. The impact caused the pickup to travel into the eastbound lane and it collided head on with a vehicle driven by the Ripon woman. She died at the scene. The Ripon man suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The Fond du Lac woman was flown to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. In addition to the Sheriff’s Department,  Ripon Fire Dept and EMS, Brandon Fire Department, Flight for Life, Wisconsin State Patrol, Fond du Lac County Highway Department, Rosendale PD, Town of Ripon PD and City of Ripon PD responded to the scene.
