Rolling Meadows Operations Discussed

Rolling Meadows Golf Course operations will be discussed during a meeting of two Fond du Lac County Board committees next week. County Executive Al Buechel says the golf course did have a large deficit after last season primarily because of the weather. He says the deficit came in around $250,000. Buechel says the deficit did not affect taxpayers. He says the Golf Course does add a measure of quality of life to the community and that is important. A study committee is being suggested. Buechel says the Golf Course won’t be closed, but they do have to look at ways to create more revenue and reduce the deficit. During a Finance Committee meeting this week operational changes were discussed with closing, selling or developing all or part of the course being discussed.  The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the City-County Government Center.
