Rollover Accident Injures 2 In FDL County

A one-vehicle crash Tuesday night resulted in two people receiving injuries. The accident occurred just before 6:42p.m. with Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies being called out to CTH HHH near Lefeber Rd, in the Town of Calumet. Preliminary investigation showed a vehicle headed east, being driven by a 26-year old Chilton man, was attempting to pass another vehicle also heading east, being driven by a 22-year old Plymouth woman.

The driver that was making the pass, lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over. The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. A 15-year old male passenger in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Ascension CalumetHospital in Chilton, and then flown by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Neither of the occupants in the vehicle were wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol was not a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.

The accident area was closed to traffic to almost 2.5 hours. Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Town of Calumet Fire Department and First Responders and Mt. Calvary Ambulance responded to the scene.
