Rosendale Woman Seriously Injured In Semi vs. Vehicle Accident

A Rosendale woman was seriously injured when her vehicle was struck by a semi Monday night.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department was notified just after 8:30 p.m. Monday night of a semi vs. vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy. 26 and Hwy. 23 in Rosendale.

Early investigation showed that the semi, operated by 64-year old Charles Meuser of Minnesota, was traveling west on Hwy. 23 when it failed to stop for a red light, entered the intersection, and struck the vehicle driven by 31-year old Julie Greiten, who was unable to avoid the crash.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt and sustained serious injuries. She was transported to St. Agnes Hospital. The driver of the semi was unharmed. Inattentive driving appears to be the factor in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
