Summer means salads, but a
recall of salad mixes in the state could find you looking for more menu items
tonight. Health officials are investigating an outbreak of infections, and it
appears the culprit is bagged salads. Garden Salads have been from grocery
store shelves in 10 states, including Wisconsin,
Illinois, Iowa
and Minnesota.
The brands to look for are the Hy-Vee brand, Jewel-Osco Signature Farms and
ALDI Little Salad Bar bagged salads. If you have purchased salads from these
stores, you should throw them away. The FDA says there have been 122 reported
illnesses with 19 people hospitalized. The FDA says the investigation is
continuing.
