Salvation Army Donates Coats To Riverside Elementary School

Riverside Elementary School’s coat closet, the go-to place for winter wear for students who come to school without, was running low and custodian Dan Zemski expressed his concern to a CARE INC member. (CARE INC is an organization of churches that works to bring the community together.) In this case, the CARE INC member did just that he was instrumental in bringing about a coat donation from The Salvation Army’s “Coats for Kids” collection through a Church of Our Savior’s closet coordinator. A special thanks to Ron Jacobson, Amber Arntz, Shin Ae Zeigler, Joanne Talaska, and Captain Telinda Wilson for the part they played in arranging for this donation.

Riverside’s Student Council, Principal Tim Schipper, and Dan Zemski were on hand to accept the donation of 60 coats from Steve Zeigler, CARE INC coordinator and Salvation Army volunteer.
