Salvation Army Helping With Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts

The Fond du Lac Salvation Army is taking financial contributions for the Hurricane Harvey relief effort. Social Services Director Ron Jacobson says they are acting as a conduit for monetary contributions, which will be passed along through their national offices. Donations can be dropped off at their local office or send it to 237 North Macy Street. You can also call 1-800-SAL-ARMY or text the word “STORM” to 51555. Checks should note Hurricane Harvey on the memo line.  He cautions if you are going to give to relief efforts to give to a known charity. The Salvation Army has deployed 42 mobile feeding units to Texas. Each can provide up to 1,500 meals per day.
