Savory And Vine Restaurant In Ripon Gets Startup Loan

The Ripon Common Council this week approved a loan from the City’s revolving loan fund to help a restaurant with startup costs. City Administrator Lori Rich says the request came from the owner of Savory & Vine. She says it is for a $70,000 loan for seven years at 4 percent interest with a first position mortgage on the building as collateral a long with life insurance with the City listed as the loss payee.  She says the restaurant will start out with modest hours until they can get enough staff to offer dinner hours. She says they will serve lunch and Sunday brunch. They will be opening this month in the former Treasury restaurant location. Owner Keith Kornburger hopes to expand on the menu previously offered at the Alibis/West Gap Tap & Grill location. The restaurant will create 11 full time jobs.
