School Board Looking For Public Input To Assist In Superintendent Search

The Fond du Lac School District’s Board of Education is looking to residents within the City of Fond du Lac to assist in the hiring of the next Superintendent. The Board hired Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to assist with the process, and now is looking to engage parents, students, staff, and the community in the search process in order to create a leadership profile of the characteristics being sought in the next district leader.

There are two components of the community engagement process – a community-wide leadership profile survey and focus groups. The District launched the survey online for parents, students, staff, and the community on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. The survey, which is open through Sunday, January 24, 2021, can be completed at https://ecrasurvey.com/fonddulac2021supt. The survey is available in English and Spanish. Those who speak other languages are encouraged to contact their school’s translator for help in completing the survey.

Additionally, two focus groups, facilitated by a member of the search firm, will be held online:

  1. Parents: Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 12:00pm
  2. Community Members: Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 7:00pm
Visit the District’s website for the focus group Zoom meeting link and access codes:

The survey and focus groups are essential for collecting the voices in the Fond du Lac School District community, and all stakeholders are encouraged to participate. The search process is expected to take several months. The goal is that the next Superintendent
will begin working in the District on July 1, 2021. More information about the search process can be found on the District’s website: https://www.fonddulac.k12.wi.us/SuperintendentSearch.aspx.
