School Board Makes Mask Wearing Optional

The Fond du Lac School Board held a special meeting Thursday night, and made the decision to make mask wearing optional within the School District immediately. The notice was issued by new District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Fleig and sent to District families. You can read the complete letter below:

Dear Fond du Lac School District Families,

This evening, the Board of Education held a special meeting where they decided to make mask wearing optional for the Fond du Lac School District effective immediately. This applies to all staff, students and visitors within the District.

At the meeting, Board members heard background information on the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine availability. They also received information regarding the safety practices that will remain in place, such as cleaning protocols, hand hygiene, symptom testing requirements, quarantine protocols and contact tracing. In planning for the 2021-22 school year, if your child has extenuating health circumstances, please reach out to Katie Moder, Director of Pupil Services, at (920) 906-6500.

As we have learned during the pandemic, things can change and we will need to continue to adapt as the situation evolves. Thank you for your understanding and collaboration during these unprecedented times. I look forward to serving you as the new Superintendent of the Fond du Lac School District.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Fleig, Ph.D.

Superintendent
