Schroeder And Zickert Promoted At American Bank

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – March 22, 2016 – American Bank CEO Jim Chatterton has announced two promotions within the organization, as approved by the bank’s board of directors. Kristine Schroeder (above) has been promoted to vice president and continues her duties managing American Bank’s loan processing area. Schroeder originally joined the bank as a teller and customer service representative when its Mayville office first opened. Over 13 years of service she has progressed through roles of increasing responsibility including lender, office manager and loan processor. “Kristine’s skills and background in fixed rate lending and underwriting have proven to be of great value and are reflected in her smooth and efficient handling of this ever demanding role with us,” stated Chatterton.

Also announced was the promotion of Peggy Zickert (above), who has been named American Bank’s Compliance Officer. In her new role, Zickert will be responsible for research, implementation and oversight of procedures to ensure compliance with financial and governmental regulations and laws. Peggy brings an accumulated 20 years of experience in personal and investment banking to this new role. She will be assuming duties most recently held by Barb Asmus, Vice President, who is retiring after a 39-year tenure. Zickert originally joined American Bank in 2008 as an officer, responsible for oversight of the customer service area and other duties. “Peggy’s experience, attention to detail and follow through are critical strengths that make her well suited for this position,” remarked Chatterton. “Both Peggy and Kristine’s knowledge and perspective will be of significant value in our recently announced merger with National Exchange Bank and Trust planned for later this year.”
