Sebert Testifies Before JFC

Fond du Lac School District Superintendent Jim Sebert was one of
those who testified on the state budget during the Joint Finance Committee’s
hearing last Friday in Berlin.
He says there are a few things he likes about the budget and one is a proposal
that would give an additional $200 per student funding to school districts. He
says in Fond du Lac’s
case it would help balance their budget. He is also in favor of more local
control. Sebert also likes the additional funding that would help address
mental health issues that school districts deal with. He says in Fond du Lac they are
already doing some of those pieces, but the needs continue to increase. Waupun
Area Schools Superintendent Tonya Gubin also testified at the hearing.
