Security On The Go

An administrator with the state’s Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection cautions residents to practice “Security on the Go” with their mobile devices. Frank Frassetto points out if it is a smart phone or tablet you should still use strong passwords and if it has a fingerprint reading option to unlock the device use that. He also advises turning off the locator on your phone if you don’t want people tracking where you are when you are taking photos and doing online posting. Frassetto also says if you are out in public you shouldn’t be doing financial transactions on public WiFi especially if you are not sure it is a secure connection.
