Semi In Ditch Slows Traffic On I-41

Traffic in the northbound lanes of I-41 slowed to a crawl Wednesday afternoon after a semi truck ended up in the ditch.

The incident occurred near Cty. Rd. N, with the truck traveling off the interstate and into the ditch.

It took crews nearly 3 hours to get the truck, which was leaning over heavily, towed away and the roadway cleared of mud and gravel.

There’s no word on what exactly caused the incident, but KFIZ Breaking News Editor, Doug Raflik, was on the scene and was told by an officer that the truck was carrying a full load at the time.

Winds were gusting at a fairly high rate at the time, but it’s not known if that played a factor.

There were no injuries reported.
