Semi Spills 39,000 Pounds of Meat on I-41

Interstate 41 in Washington County reopened Monday morning – after being closed to clean up after a semi rollover. Just after 11:00 Sunday night, the truck hauling 39,000 pounds of meat swerved to dodge a deer – and ended up on its side, spilling the sausage onto the interstate. Crews worked through the night to remove the sausage from the truck and the road. The whole freeway was shut down just after 5:00 Monday morning so they could remove the truck. The driver was taken to a Kewaskum hospital, where they were treated and released.
