Sentencing Today For Campbellsport Drug Ring Leader

The alleged ringleader of a Campbellsport drug ring will be sentenced this morning in Washington County Court. Fifty-seven-year-old Lori Merget pled guilty to delivery of narcotics, in this case Oxycodone, and possession of heroin with intent to deliver. Two other drug delivery charges concerning heroin were dismissed but will be considered at sentencing. Prosecutors will ask for 12 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision but may adjust that based on the pre-sentence investigation ordered by Judge Todd Martens.  A total of eight people, including Merget’s son, were arrested in April for their alleged involvement in the ring.
