Seventeenth Annual Community Christmas Dinner In FDL A Week Away

Up to 500 people will attend the 17th annual Fond du Lac Community Christmas Dinner Christmas Day at the Eagles Club Hall in Fond du Lac. The dinner started out years ago at the Oasis Restaurant and moved to St. Paul’s Cathedral before its current location. The first dinner served about 150 people, but Nancy Elliman says it has grown over the years. Hours for the dinner are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be entertainment. Donations make it possible to offer the free meal. No Reservations are needed. The dinner is open to anyone who is alone, unable to prepare a meal or just wants to share in the day. Transportation is available for those unable to drive and deliveries can be made to the homebound. Call (920) 322-5334 before the end of the day Friday to schedule transportation or deliveries in Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac. Information about the dinner is also available online.
