Sex Offenders To Be Released In City Of FDL

The public is being informed of two convicted child sex offenders who will be released from prison in the coming days and weeks.

In a press release issued Friday afternoon, Assistant Police Chief of Operations, Steve Klein, said that Daniel C. Mattson and Isaac Johnson will be released back into the public.

Daniel C. Mattson is being released back into the Fond du Lac Community after serving prison time for convictions of
Possession of Child Pornography. Mattson was convicted in 2017 of 3-counts of possession of Child Pornography. Twenty additional counts were dismissed and read into the record. Mattson is scheduled to be released from prison on or about July 27, 2021.

Isaac A. Johnson, is being released back into the Fond du Lac Community on or about August 3, 2021 after serving additional prison time for violations of his extended supervision. Mr. Johnson is currently
reporting a homeless status upon his release. Johnson was previously convicted in 1997 for 2-counts of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, and in 1995 for Sex with a Child Age 16 Years or Older. Johnson’s victims included female acquaintances. Isaac A Johnson is on extended supervision until August 12, 2021

The Fond du Lac Police Department is releasing the information
pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 301.45 and 301.46 (Act 440), which
authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, at the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety and protection.
