Sheriff’s Deputy Declares Candidacy For FDL County Sheriff

A candidate has filed paperwork with the Fond du Lac County Clerks Office declaring his candidacy for the Sheriff’s position. Mike Norton is currently a patrol deputy with the Sheriff’s Office.  He started out as a corrections officer in the Jail and has more than 20 years with the Sheriff’s Office. He will be running as a Republican. The Sheriff’s and Clerk of Courts positions are both up for election in November. Candidates for those positions can not start circulating nomination papers until April 15th.  Incumbent Sheriff Mick Fink has made no official announcement about running for another term.
