Shooting At Oneida Casino Leaves 3 Dead, Including Gunman

A gunman killed two people Saturday evening at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay, with police shooting the suspect outside the casino.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night, with witnesses hearing shots being fired at a restaurant located in the casino. According to authorities, the gunman had targeted an employee who was to have been in the restaurant, but once the suspect realized the employee was not there, opened fire on other employees. Two workers were killed with a third victim taken to Milwaukee.

At an early Sunday morning press conference with local law enforcement officials, the gunman did have employment connections to the casino.

Authorities did state there was no further threat to the community, and the matter remains under investigation.
