Shooting In FDL Leaves One Man Injured, Multiple Arrests

A shooting in the city last
night leaves one man injured, and a number of people taken into custody for
questioning. The incident started just after 8:00 p.m Wednesday, with 9-1-1
calls coming in stating a male had been shot in the 200 block of 8th St.
Officers arrived on the scene to find a 20-year old Fond du Lac man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The injury was not life-threatening and he was taken to St. Agnes Hospital


The ensuing investigation uncovered a vehicle
involved in the shooting had fled the scene, with police locating it
in the 400 block of Roosevelt St.
A search warrant was issued, with the Fond du Lac Police Department SWAT and
Crisis Negotiation teams assisting in the search. The search warrant resulted
in multiple individuals being taken into custody for questioning. The
investigation is continuing. Assistance on the scene was provided by the FDL County
Sheriff’s Department, FDL Fire/Rescue and Ripon PD K-9 Unit.
