Sixteen Total Tornadoes Confirmed by NWS

The National Weather Service has confirmed an outbreak of sixteen total tornadoes in east central Wisconsin on Tuesday. Trees were uprooted and buildings were damaged around the area – but no injuries have been reported. 

Recovery efforts continue in multiple communities around our area. Severe storms and another 2-3 inches of rain are possible through Sunday, with flash flood watches issued for several counties, including Fond du Lac. Governor Scott Walker declared a statewide State of Emergency on Wednesday. 

Dodge County saw EF-1 and EF-2 tornadoes hit near Brownsville with peak winds up to 125 miles per hour. Fond du Lac County was slammed – with EF-0 tornadoes reported south of Oakfield and in Dundee. An EF-1 tornado with winds up to 100 miles per hour hit the town of Alto, while other EF-1’s were also reported in Waupun, three near South Byron, and another hit near Eden.
