Some Former Shopko Workers To Receive One Last Check.

A judge in Nebraska is approving a three million-dollar settlement to pay nearly four-thousand Shopko workers severance. The company promised thousands of workers severance pay if they worked ‘til the end, but reneged on that promise after the Green Bay-based discount department store chain closed. Any employee who received a severance memorandum, and worked until Shopko’s last day, is eligible for a share of the settlement money.
