Special Olympics Convoy Moves Through Area Over the Weekend

Drivers on Interstate 41 over the weekend may have noticed
a convoy of big rigs heading through the area with a law enforcement escort. Those
trucks were part of the 15th-annual truck convoy to raise money for
Special Olympics Wisconsin, which made its way up the highway from Richfield to
Oshkosh where the truckers took part in a closing ceremony at the EAA grounds. 175
trucks took part in the convoy in 2018, and raised nearly $100,000 for Special
Olympics. The convoy has raised more than $1.25 million for the organization
since it started in 2005. The convoy made its way through the Fond du Lac area
around 9:30 Saturday morning.
