Speed/Alcohol Factors In Early Morning Crash Near Rosendale

Speed and alcohol appear to be the factors in an early Tuesday morning accident in Fond du Lac County.

The accident occurred on County Highway C, south and east of Rosendale about 1:46am. Original reports said a car being operated by a 21-year old male, struck a house and was on fire.  Upon arrival, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies did find that a car did strike the house after failing to maintain control but was not on fire. 

There was property damage to the residence but the extent of the damage is still being determined.  The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was  evaluated on site before being released.  The driver was cited for OWI and Failure To Control a Vehicle.
