Spooktacular Returning To FDL Childrens Museum

Spooktacular is back at the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac on Friday, October 30, and the popular event promises to provide tons of spooky, Halloween fun.  From 4:00 – 7:00 pm, families are welcome to participate in a costume contest and parade, experience the “Monster Lab” Haunted House, enjoy fun crafts and games, and make a delicious treat at the Caramel Apple Bar.

Beware of the monster who comes alive in the Monster Lab Haunted House! The Monster Lab experience is an interactive Halloween show with performances every 20 minutes starting at 4:20 pm. After families make their way through the dark hallways and tunnels, they’ll stumble upon a Mad Scientist in her laboratory and her monstrous experiment in a show that is both spooky and full of laughs.

Families are invited to participate in the Costume Contest & Parade at 6:00 pm.  Prizes are awarded by a panel of judges to the winners in 5 categories: Cutest, Scariest, Most Creative, Most Authentic, and Best Grown-Up Costume.

The classrooms will host a delicious Caramel Apple Bar where families can place whatever toppings they choose on their bowl of fresh, sliced apples, provided by Festival Foods. Drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce and add a variety of sprinkles, candies, and more.

Kids can also make their very own monster puppet in the Museum’s arts and crafts area, Inspiration Island, to take home with them.

Lines may be long for this popular event. To lessen wait time, the Museum is offering advance ticket sales ($6 per person). Non-members are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets at the front desk. Members are admitted free to this event.
