In Division Three:

–Sam Bernhard totaled 10 kills, Hailey Becker totaled 32 assists to go along with four aces and seven digs. WLA hosts Princeton/Green Lake in a regional championship game on Saturday.

Princeton/Green Lake 3, Laconia 0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-17)

–Hailey Bartz had 23 assists, Grace Leonard totaled five digs, Kennedy Krohn five kills, Kenna Freiberg 14 digs.

St. Mary’s Springs 3, Horicon 0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-10)

–Emily Mueller totaled 15 kills – she has 1,000 kills for her career. Virginia Arndt 16 assists and seven digs, Katie Baker had 15 digs, Brianna Freund totaled eight kills and Gracie Rieder had six kills and five digs. Springs will host Markesan in a regional championship game on Saturday.

NFL:

Aaron Rodgers had surgery to repair his broken collarbone on Thursday. Rodgers posted a photo on his Instagram account from his hospital room thanking fans for their “love, support, thoughts and prayers” and included the hashtag “comeback starts now”.

Thursday Night Football: Oakland 31, Kansas City 30

–Derek Carr’s touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree as time expired gave the Raiders a win over the rival Chiefs. Carr had 417 yards passing and three touchdowns, while Amari Cooper caught 11 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns for the silver & black.

Major League Baseball:

National League Championship Series (Game Five):

LA Dodgers 11, Chicago Cubs 1

–Dodgers win the series 4-1, advance to their first world series since 1988.

Tonight is game six of the American League Championship Series. The Yankees hold a 3-2 series lead against Houston as the series shifts back to Texas. First pitch is just after 7pm.
