It’s the third round of the high school football playoffs tonight:

Division One:

The Fond du Lac Cardinals travel to Kimberly tonight for the teams third meeting in a year. Kimberly prevailed in round three of the playoffs last year and in week one this year at Fruth Field. Their current winning streak sits at 67 games with their last loss coming November 2nd, 2012. Coverage of the game begins at 6:30 on KFIZ, with kickoff at 7pm.

Division Six:

St. Mary’s Springs hosts Racine Lutheran at Fruth Field. The Ledgers have won their first two playoff contests by a score of 109-11 and look to continue their roll through the Division Six playoffs. The winner advances to a Level Four matchup against either Markesan or Mineral Point next Friday. Hear a preview for Coach Hyland in the KFIZ High School Kickoff Show at 6pm this evening.

NFL:



Thursday Night Football:

NY Jets 34, Buffalo 21

–Matt Forte ran for two touchdowns and the Jets defense sacked Bills QB Tyrod Taylor seven times in the win.

College Hockey:

The Marian men’s and women’s hockey teams both open up NCHA play with a pair of home matches at the Blue Line Family Ice Center this weekend.  

The Marian women (0-2) will host St. Scholastica for two league games today at 4pm and on Saturday at 1pm.  

The Marian men open up their season tonight as they host conference newcomer Trine at 7pm.  Then on Saturday afternoon at 4pm they welcome #1 ranked Adrian College to Fond du Lac.
