Boys Golf:

Fond du Lac loses to Kimberly in an FVA Dual Meet by a tiebreaker after the teams tie, each with a 168. Elliott Nielsen earns medalist honors for the Cardinals, shooting a 37.

FVA Basketball news: Longtime Oshkosh North boys basketball coach Frank Schade has announced he is retiring. Schade made the announcement Thursday morning and ends his 42 year career with the fourth most wins all time in the state with 610. Schade led the Spartans to a 25-1 record and the FVA title last season. He finished with five FVA titles and five state tournament appearances at Oshkosh North. A replacement will be announced this summer.


Toronto 92, Milwaukee 89

–The Bucks rallied from down 25 points but were unable to close out a game six win at the Bradley Center and lose their first round series to Toronto. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points, Khris Middleton 19 in the loss for Milwaukee. DeMar DeRozan scored 32 for Toronto who advances to face Cleveland in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

San Antonio 103, Memphis 96

–Kawahi Leonard scored 29 points, Tony Parker added 27 as the Spurs won their Western Conference first round series against the Grizzlies in six games. Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 26 points in the loss. San Antonio plays Houston in round 2 of the playoffs.

NFL Draft:

The Packers traded out of the first round of the NFL Draft Thursday night, sending the 29th pick to Cleveland for the first pick in the second round (number 33 overall) and the first pick in the fourth round (pick 108).

A pair of Wisconsin Badgers heard their names called in last night’s first round. Linebacker TJ Watt was selected by Pittsburgh with the 30th overall pick, while offensive lineman Ryan Ramczyk was taken two picks later by New Orleans with pick #32 overall.

Cleveland selected Texas A&M Defensive End Myles Garrett with the number one overall pick. The Bears then traded up a spot with San Francisco to take North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky. The 49ers selected Stanford defensive end Solomon Thomas with the third overall pick. Jacksonville took LSU running back Leonard Fournette at number four and Western Michigan receiver Corey Davis went number five to Tennessee. Three quarterbacks went in the first round, Trubisky to the Bears, Patrick Mahomes of Texas Tech to Kansas City and DeShaun Watson of Clemson to Houston. Both KC and Houston traded up to take their quarterbacks.

Rounds two and three will be held tonight in Philadelphia.
