–Andrew Bullock went 3 for 4 at the plate and Fondy starter Jack Collins tossed six innings of shutout baseball as the Dock Spiders defeated the Woodchucks in Wausau Thursday evening. The two teams meet again tonight from Herr Baker Field, first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.

–The Nationals pounded out 19 hits and eight home runs as they clobbered the Brewers in the series finale in Washington DC. Milwaukee starter Michael Blazek took the mound in place of the injured Matt Garza. He surrendered eight runs on seven hits and six home runs in just 2 & ⅓ innings. Wily Peralta, who relieved Blazek, gave up seven more runs on eight hits with two more homers. Home runs from Travis Shaw and Lewis Brinson accounted for the Brewers’ only runs of the day. Milwaukee returns home for a three game series against the Chicago Cubs tonight. The Cubs are one and a half games up on the Brewers in the NL Central. Brent Suter goes for Milwaukee, while the Cubs counter with Jose Quintana. Coverage begins at 6:35, first pitch at 7:10 pm on KFIZ.

NFL:  Packers rookie linebacker Vince Biegel will start training camp on the physically-unable-to-perform list as he continues to recover from foot surgery. The former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker was taken in the fourth round by the Packers in the NFL draft. Coach Mike McCarthy thinks that Biegel might be out for another two weeks. The Packers practice again this morning at 8:15 am.
