Brewers Host Arizona

The Brewers open up a three game weekend series with Arizona tonight at Miller Park.  The Brewers dropped two of three games to Colorado to open the season. Kyle Lohse makes his Brewers debut tonight against Wade Miley.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Packers Preseason Schedule

The NFL has released the Packers’preseason games for the 2013 season.  Green Bay will open up exhibition play at home against Arizona the week of August 8th through 12th.  They will travel to St. Louis in week 2 between August 15th-19th.  On Friday night, August 23rd the Packers will host Seattle on CBS.  Then they wrap up the preseason slate at Kansas City either August 29th or 30th.  The official dates will be set later this spring.  The August 23rd date at Lambeau will be up against the high school football opener.

 

Bucks Basketball

The Bucks will face the New York Knicks tonight at Madison Square Garden.  With eight games to play, Milwaukee has a six game lead over Philly for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  The Celtics are 2.5 games ahead of the Bucks in the 7th spot.

Final Four

The NCAA Final Four is set for Saturday night in Atlanta.  Louisville and Wichita State will tip just after 5pm with Michigan and Syracuse to follow.  The championship game is Monday night.  You’ll hear the title game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

 

Thomas To Transfer From MU

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that junior guard Jake Thomas would transfer out of the program.  The Racine native transferred to Marquette in 2011 from South Dakota averaged 1.8 ppg in 23 games this season.  The paper says he is considering UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee.

 

PGA Tour

Matt Bettencourt and Peter Tomasulo share the first round lead at the PGA Tour’s Texas Open.  Padriaig Harrington is in a group 1 shot back.  The Masters is next weekend.
