The Wisconsin Badgers may have a new head coach.  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Pitt head coach Paul Chryst is poised to take the job.  Chryst was 19-19 in three seasons with the Panthers.  Before getting the head job at Pitt he was the offensive coordinator at Wisconsin and is a state native.

Badger running back Melvin Gordon was named college football’s best running back on Thursday night by winning the Doak Walker Award. He was also named to the Walter Camp All-American Team.  Gordon is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy which will be awarded on Saturday night.

Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez announced on
Thursday that he would coach the team in the Outback Bowl against Auburn on January 1st.  Head Coach Gary Andersen bolted to Oregon State
earlier this week.  Alvarez also stepped
in and coached the Badgers two years ago in the Rose Bowl when Brett Bielema
moved on to Arkansas.  You’ll hear the Outback Bowl on KFIZ
presented by Fondy Junior Football.
