Michigan State
snapped the Badgers seven game win streak with a 69-57 win at East Lansing
Ethan Happ led UW with 18 points. 
Nigel Hayes was held to just 5 points on 1 of 13 shooting.  The Badgers host Illinois on Sunday.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm with the tip set
for 6:30pm on KFIZ.

 

The Bucks open up their post
All-Star break schedule tonight as they host Charlotte
at BMO Harris Bradley
Center
.  We’ll join that game in progress after Fondy
basketball on KFIZ.

 

The Bucks didn’t make any
moves as they NBA’s trading deadline came and went on Thursday. Various reports
say the Bucks had a deal on the table with Houston for big man Dwight Howard and also
had talks with the Timberwolves for point guard Ricky Rubio but in the end
didn’t make a deal.

 

Pitchers and catchers report
to the Brewers Spring Training site in Arizona
today.   The Brewers first Cactus League
game on KFIZ is set for Thursday, March 3rd against the San
Francisco Giants.

 

Dale Earnhardt, Junior and
Kyle Busch won the Twin Duels at Daytona on Thursday night.  Matt Kenseth who was to start on the outside
of row 1, wrecked and will now start at the back of the pack at Sunday’s Daytona 500.

 

Camilo Villegas fired a
8-under par 63 to hold a three shot lead over Bubba Watson, Luke List and Chas
Reavie at the PGA Tour’s Northern Trust Open.  
Jordan Speith fired the 3rd worst round of his PGA Tour
career with a 79.

 

The Winnebago Lutheran
Academy
boys basketball
team completed the season sweep over rival St. Mary’s Springs with a 55-34 win
at the Hutter Gym on Tuesday night. 
Sophomore Noah Lorenz led all scorers with 16 points.  Seniors’ Eric Schmitz and Mitch McFarlane
added 10 each.  Kurt Mueller led the
Ledgers with 8. The win improves WLA to 13-8 overall and 9-2 in the Flyway
Conference.  The Vikings will host league
leader Omro on Thursday night in the season finale.  A win by WLA would give them a share of the
Flyway title.
