The Milwaukee Brewers got a strong outing from Matt Garza to beat the New York Mets Thursday 9 to 1. He pitched eight innings giving up only two hits. One of those hits was a home run. Meanwhile Jonathan Lucroy, Kris Davis and Ryan Braun homered for the Brewers. The two teams face each other again tonight at Miller Park. Packers Shareholder Meeting

The Green Bay Packers held their annual shareholders meeting at Lambeau Field yesterday painting a rosy picture. Later Packer’s President Mark Murphy spoke to reporters and addressed questions about Brett Favre’s return. Murphy says he’s hoping Favre will return for a game sometime this season.

Jordy Contract

Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson is entering the final year of his contract. Nelson is reportedly seeking a contract that would pay him $10 million a year. He’s currently averaging $4.2 million a year and ranks 34th among all wide receivers in the NFL in terms of pay. Last season he had over 1,300 yard receiving and caught 8 touchdown passes.
