Sports – Friday, March 18th, 2016

The 1st full day
of the NCAA Tournament saw a pair of #12 seeds upset #5 seeds as Arkansas-Little
Rock stopped Purdue in the Midwest Region in double-OT and Yale took down
Baylor in the West Region.  In the South,
#11 Wichita State
dumped #6 Arizona.  In the Midwest
#11 Gonzaga stopped #6 Seton Hall. 

 

The Badgers and UW-Green Bay both are preparing for their 1st
games on tonight.  The 7th
seeded Badgers in the East Region will play #10 seed Pittsburgh
at 5:50pm on Friday night in St. Louis.  You’ll hear that game on KFIZ and it will be
on TNT.  UW-Green
Bay is a #14 seed and face #3 seed
Texas A&M in Oklahoma City
at 6:20pm Friday.  That game will be
broadcast on TBS.

 

The Bucks beat the Grizzlies
96-86.  The Bucks host Utah on Sunday night.

 

The Brewers beat the Rangers
5-2 on Thursday night. Taylor Jungmann gave up just 1 hits and struck out three
in four scoreless innings.  The Brewers
and Reds play this afternoon.
