St. Mary’s
Springs girls used a pair of 10-0 runs, one at the end of the 2nd
quarter and another to end the 3rd quarter to knock out Howards
Grove 56-47 in a Division Four Sectional Semifinal at Fond du Lac High School
on Thursday night.  Senior Kelli Schrauth
had 22 and sophomore Anja Smith 20 in the win. 
The Ledgers will travel to Hartland Arrowhead on Saturday for a
Sectional Final against Whitefish Bay Dominican.  Coverage begins at 12:30pm on KFIZ ith the
tip set for 1pm.  It’s presented by BCI

The Waupun
girls basketball team advanced to the WIAA Division Three Sectional Final with
a 47-34 win over Laconia
(17-8) at Beaver Dam on Thursday night. 
The Warriors (20-5) will face Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Saturday
afternoon at West Allis Central. That tip is set for 2pm.

 

The Fond du
Lac Cardinal boys basketball team opens up WIAA Regional play with a semifinal
up at Neenah.  Fondy is the #7 seed while Neenah is the #2 seed.   Two seasons ago the teams met at Neenah in the same
situation and the 7th seeded Cardinals pulled off the upset
45-44.  You’ll hear tonight’s game on
KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 6:30pm with the

The Badger
men’s basketball team won the outright Big Ten championship with a 76-63 win at
Minnesota on
Thursday night.  Frank Kaminsky had 25
and Sam Dekker 20 in the win.  Wisconsin wraps up their regular season on Sunday at Ohio State.

The Brewers
dropped their Cactus League opener to the Angels 3-2 on Thursday
afternoon.  Scooter Gennett and Elian
Herrera drove on the Brewers runs.  Kyle
Lohse gave up 1 run in 2 and 2/3rds innings of work.  The Brewers play the Dodgers this
